I therefore, not as a teacher, but as one of you, will endeavor to lay
before you a few things
by which you may, on many accounts,
become the more joyful. Barnabas 1:10
Blessed is the Child of Light Who doth build on earth the Kingdom of Heaven, for he shall dwell in both worlds." Thou shalt follow the Law of the Brotherhood, which saith that none shall have wealth, and none shall be poor, and all shall work together in the garden of the Brotherhood. Yet each shall commune with his own heart. For in the Infinite Garden there are many and diverse flowers: who shall say hat one is best because its color is purple, or that one is favored because its stalk is long and slender? Though the brothers be of different complexion, yet do they all toil in the vineyard of the Earthly Mother, and they all do lift their voices together in praise of the Heavenly Father. And together they break the holy bread, and in silence share the holy meal of thanksgiving. Here shall be no peace among peoples till there be one garden of the brotherhood over the earth. For how can there be peace when each man pursueth his own gain and doth sell his soul into slavery? Thou, Child of Light, do ye gather with thy brothers and then go ye forth to teach the ways of the Law to those who would hear. He who hath found Peace with the brotherhood of man hath made himself the co-worker of God.
Know this peace with thy mind, Desire this peace with thy heart, Fulfill this
peace with thy body.
(Gospel of the Essenes)

Our beginnings, so the great books of humanity informs us. This be Truth, than wouldn't it be reasonable to say that this statement, "You are one with the Earthly Mother; she is in you, and you in her. Of her were you born, in her do you live, and to her shall you return again." would also be true? According to our chemical make up all the statements above are saying the same things. Rev LaPierre

Mutated Mumps?
The national news reported last week on a severe mumps outbreak. At that point in time 8 states were involved, all located in Middle America. This spring, Iowa has had 120 times more incidents of mumps than in previous years. Last week public health officials were tracking an airline flight that an infected person had been on. This person had gone to a doctor before taking her flight, but the diagnosis didn’t come back for 6 days. Ergo, anyone flying with her could have been contaminated. Luckily the mumps virus is transmitted either by saliva contact or discharge of nose and throat of the infected person. The Mumps virus is not an airborne transmitter.
Mumps was thought to be one of the childhood diseases that were under control due to vaccinations. Children usually get vaccinated for measles, rubella and the mumps all in one injection at the age of one. According to the news story a one-time injection was thought to be good for life. Now health officials are suggesting a second vaccine. There is also worry that the mumps virus has mutated and the vaccine is no longer effective. Mumps is a viral disease that is accompanied with fever, swelling and tenderness of one or more salivary glands. The incubation period for mumps is 16-18 days, but it can vary to 12-25 days. Mumps can be spread three days before symptoms appear and up to four days after the onset. Although this is usually thought to be a childhood disease (ages 5 –15), adults can get the virus.
Some of the complication of the mumps can include swelling of the testicles in 15-25 percent of males. Mumps have been known to disrupt the central nervous system causing disorders such as encephalitis and meningitis. Deafness, inflammation of the thyroid gland, and kidney involvement are some other possible complications of this virus.
Herbally we can help ease the symptoms of mumps with some fairly common herbals. Lemon balm kills the mumps virus. A recipe from Kathi Keville’s book, “Herbs for Healing” is a tea called ‘Childhood Disease Tea’: one teaspoon burdock root, one quart water, one teaspoon each of catnip leaves, lemon balm leaves, mullein leaves and elder flowers. Cover and simmer burdock root for five minutes. Add other herbs and let steep 15 minutes. Strain. Two cups a day is a good dose for a 50-pound child. You can sweeten with honey and or add teaspoons of peppermint leaf to improve taste. This tea is also suggested for adults, adjust dosage. Herbal protocols can help in a quicker recovery from viral infections. The catnip helps reduce fever; burdock is a blood cleanser and immune system supporter. Lemon balm tastes good and is an anti-viral specific for the mumps virus. The mullein and elder flower help in the draining of lymph glands.
As always having a healthy immune system and well circulating lymphatic system may keep you or your child from ever having to deal with this re-emerging virus. That’s a wrap for now; keep it simple.
Herbally Yours, Nysie Watson
If we had made big plans, saved our money, and patiently waited for the big day. And God called me on that day to do something for him so I had to cancel my plans with you, Would you be mad? Would you still be my friend?
If one day out of the clear blue sky I packed up my things and said it was time to go, God is calling. Would you be mad? Would you still be my friend?
If my ways were very different than yours and I stood on a street corner preaching the Word of God, Would you be mad? Would you still be my friend?
If I gave up everything to live in a hollow instead of a house, to be fed by Mother Earth instead of going to the grocery store. To live in perfect faith Of God. Would you understand? Or, would you be mad? Would you still be my friend?
If God told me to tell you something that you didn’t want to hear, yet you had to have the information. Would you be mad? Would you still be my friend?
If I did not cry and feel loss at your death, instead I was joyous for your transition for now you were free and Totally with God. Would you be mad? Would you still be my friend?
I told you that I loved you, Yet I loved God much more. That God was my life and not you. Would you be mad? Would you still be my friend?
If not, I am very sad, for I have to go, have to do, have to be, for God is
calling. If we are still friends, I am filled with great joy, for the journey
will be a Glorious One. RML 2002
And from high above the western coast of the Dead Sea over a thousand documents from 350 caves that were discovered between 1947 and 1965.
The information found within these scrolls, tablets, parchments and animal hides that were hidden so many centuries ago are awakening the inner hearts of many hungry eyes. In the text can be found scribed history and Wisdom from the biblical era and transcriptions from even older times.
The caves where the scrolls and such that were found on the Northwest bank of the Dead Sea are only 5 miles east of Bethany where Lazarus lived. Jerusalem is only another 5 miles for Bethany, a days walk for Jesus and his Disciples. This area being Jesus’ favorite stomping grounds it would only stand to reason he would be included within the lines.
I give thanks to the ones now known as scholars whom followed the pulling of their hearts down into the depths of the catacombs of the Vatican to re-surface with Scriptures/Writings of the Essene.. Whose authorship can also be found in the Nag Hammadi and the Dead Sea Scrolls. When read with the Christian and other religious books, the Essene writings seem to fill in the pieces of un-understandable sayings of the Canonical Translations.

“What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile; depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” Psalm xxxiv:12-14.
The due regulation of the passions contributes more to health and longevity than climate, or even the observance of any course of diet. Our Creator has so constituted our natures, that duty, health, happiness and longevity are inseparably blended in the same cup. We must guard not only our moral natures from the ravages of the corroding and revengeful passions, but also our physical natures by observing the strictest rules of temperance in eating, drinking, cleanliness and exercise.
The book of God commands us to "be temperate in all things." The observance of this duty gives us a firm constitution, robust health, and prepares us to participate in all the innocent and rational enjoyments of life. Here we may witness the goodness of the Divine Being in uniting our duty, happiness and interest in one; and so absolutely does each depend upon the other that they cannot exist alone. They are alike laid in ruins the moment they are separated. If we trace this idea still further, we witness the same wise arrangement, and the same incomprehensible skill and goodness of the Author of our being in the constitution of our metal Natures. In these also he has wholly united our daily, happiness and longevity in one. Jesus says, "Love your enemies; bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you, and persecute you, that ye may be the children of your Father in heaven." Paul says - "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice, and be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Thus we see that the path of duty, enjoined in the sacred scriptures, is not only the path of peace and joy, but conducts to a good old age. The goodness of the Divine Being is most strikingly exemplified in uniting health and temperance, happiness and longevity, and our duty to our fellow creatures, all in one.
Thus we see that the path of duty, enjoined in the sacred scriptures, is not only the path of peace and joy, but conducts to a good old age. The goodness of the Divine Being is most strikingly exemplified in uniting health and temperance, happiness and longevity, and our duty to out fellow creatures, all in one.
Long life and good days, however, depend more upon the state of our minds
than upon almost any other circumstance.
"What man is he that desireth life and loveth many days that he see
good? Keep thy tongue from evil and thy lips from speaking guild; depart
from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it." This being the first
condition for a long life.
Violent anger excites powerfully the caloric in the human system, boils the blood, and in this state throw it suddenly upon the brain. The powerful shock propels it instantly to the exterior surface, and torrent-like contracts it back again I redoubled fury upon the brain, and leaves the countenance pale and ghastly, It deranges in a great measure the mind, and unfits it for useful action. It darts its electric fire of vengeance along the optic nerve, expand the retina, and gives to every object a magnified and false appearance, while the very eyeballs by a wild and savage glare proclaim the dreadful storm that is raging within, and pouring the poisonous streams of premature death through all the healthful channels of existence! It suddenly braces the nervous system, and then on the opposite extreme leaves it depressed and weakened. It gradually brings on rheumatic complaints, and lays the whole system open to the most formulate and painful disorders that afflict the human race.
There is a connection between the mind and the body so subtle that it has hitherto eluded the eagle-eye of Physiology and will perhaps remain inscrutable forever to human comprehension. But that this connection exists is fully demonstrated by medical experience, and observation. It is not uncommon that consumptions are brought on by trouble of mind, by guilt, and by melancholy and grief.
Would you live long that you may see good days? Then keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile, seek peace and pursue it. Avoid every species of iniquity that would have a tendency to blast your own or the peace of others. Avoid it as you would the poisonous exhalations of the Bohon Ups, and fly it as you would the dreadful Samiel of the Arabian desert. (tentmaker.org)
Depression - I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:1-3
The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.... The righteous face many troubles, but the Lord rescues them from each and every one. Psalm 34:17,9
Frustration - Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:36
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you. Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord our God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4
Guilt - But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. 1John 1:9
I have swept away your sins like the morning mists.I have scattered your offenses like the clouds. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free. Isaiah 44:22
He is so rich in kindness that he purchased our freedom through the blood of his son, and our sins are forgiven. Ephesians 1:7
Insecurity - I am holding you by your right hand - I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, "Do not be afraid. I am here to help you." Isaiah 41:13
What can we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since God did not spare even his own son but, gave him up for all of us, won't God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else? Romans 8:31-32
That is why we can say with confidence, "the Lord is my helper, so I will
not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" Hebrews 13:6
Rev. Dianna Wright
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are."

Fun and Relaxation was had by Sisters that were also Organizers of the Annual Women's Gatherings hosted by the Southeastern Center of Herbal Studies when it was owned by Kathleen Guild AHG.This year Happy Clam Company of Cedar Key, FL graciously offered their property on Dragon Fly Pond for this year's Gathering.
To my sisters...
A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter. "Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them.
"Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women... your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. "You'll need other women - Women always do."
'What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. 'Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!'
But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, Sisters are the mainstays of her life. After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:
Time passes. Life happens.
Distance separates. Children grow up. Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do. Hearts break.
Parents die. Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT.........Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you. Or come in and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood; we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still.
