Rev. Dr. R. La Pierre

Behold, I will send my messengers and they shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek shall suddenly come to Her Temple, even the Messengers of the Covenant who ye shall delight in: Behold, they shall come, saith the Lord of Hosts. Malachi 3:1

I therefore, not as a teacher, but as one of you, will endeavor to lay before you a few things by which you may, on many accounts, become the more joyful. Barnabas 1:10

Lost in a Parable

There are many different levels and steps of understanding in the writings of the Biblical Books. For that reason there are many ways to read the Scriptures. One by instructional, another is literal. Many take the later, as did many of the masses that followed Jesus. Even the Apostles at times would slip and have difficulty. (Matthew 15:15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. 16. And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?) Read literal was how I was originally taught the Biblical Stories from Church, Sunday School and even my parents, (for this is the way they were taught).

The further I study the material, I find not all that is written in the Scripture can be read in the manner that we are accustom to. Yet this is hard for us since many messages have been transformed into "story" form, it may make for easier reading, certainly not easier in understanding.

Parables, allegories, metaphors are story forms that use common place images and items to symbolize emotions, morals, experiences and situations as does Jesus' parables, Greek Mythology, Stories of Morals of today. The meaning behind the story is instructional. As time goes by, from one generation to the next, much of the original meaning of legends, myths, parables, stories and ever popular children's songs gets lost. Example: "London Bridge is Falling Down" and "Ring around the Rosey". These songs had come about due to plagues that wiped out half the population of certain areas. Generations later these songs get cheerfully sung by youthful voices that never heard the events behind them. Or these stories are turn into a belief, to the point of one's fact, "the world is flat", "the earth is center of the universe".

Why did Jesus teach in such a manner as parables? I'd have thought he would have made his teachings easy to understand, to quickly get his point across, for he must have know that these stories were going to loose something in the translation over time. We play the game "Gossip" to prove this very point. Yet he constantly used images and symbols for the actual thing which just seemed to make it all that much harder to grasp.

Granted Jesus had been given a very short amount of time to teach his message to a lot of people with different levels of "openness of heart", or "pureness of heart", and gradients of understanding.

So may be that's it. Maybe that is why he taught in parables. Jesus knew his time was short, three years is not a lot of time to get his powerful message through to so many for much he was teaching was contradictory. He had to squeeze a lot of information into one story to preach out to those with hardened hearts all the way to those whom had "ears to hear". Whew, what lessons plan that had to have been. Like the Little Red School house, one teacher many grades.

After generations of playing "Gossip" with even Jesus' Gospels pieces become missing, (Constantine alone removed 45 books from the Old and New Testaments), detail is forgotten/hidden and instruction and meanings get clouded. Here is still Good News! Jesus left us instruction in Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you 8.For every one that asketh receiveth; knocketh it shall be opened.

The promise can also be found in Enoch the Prophet. 104:10. Another mystery also I point out. To the righteous and the wise shall be given books of joy, of integrity, and of great wisdom. To them shall books be given, in which they shall believe; 11. And in which they shall rejoice. And all the righteous shall be rewarded, who from these shall acquire the knowledge of every upright path.

“Held in ancient myth, traditional dance, secret language, and hidden records, our most cherished traditions carry a theme that is strikingly similar across cultural, geographic, and religious divisions. As different as the traditions appear on the surface, an unde rlying theme reminds us that, as the family of humankind, we are greater than any differences that have ever divided us.”
The God Code, Gregg Braden

Heal Thyself

“Official medicine holds that there are diseases of the foot, eye, ear, stomach etc., and that each requires a different medicine and treatment. If a single organ is diseased, that single organ must be treated. At first sight this demand seems practical and logical, and it would be right if all the organs of the body were carved from wood or stone and fixed in place with wire and nails. But in reality all the cells of the body are interlaced and in constant motion. The movement of the blood binds all the parts of the body into one ever-moving system. The human organism is therefore a Single Totality. It follows, then, that if one part of the body is disordered, it is not sufficient to cure that one part, but it is necessary to pay attention to the whole organism. All the cells have a reciprocal influence upon one another. We must not confine ourselves to the treatment of one part when the whole body needs attention.” “The Dialectical Method of Thinking” by Edmond Szekely

Comfort in Time of Loneliness

A Psalm of David - Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

This psalm provides us with detailed images to bind and settle our fear. The Shepherd steers him to the serenity of green pastures and quiet waters, restoring his soul in a demanding and soul-wrenching time. Rev. Dianna Wright

The Most Ancient Revelation / God speaks to Man
From the Gospel of the Essenes

“I speak to you.
Be Still, know I am God.
I spoke to you when you were born.
Be Still, know I am God.
I spoke to you at your first sight.
Be Still, know I am God.
I spoke to you at your first word.
Be Still, know I am God.
I spoke to you at you first thought.
Be Still, know I am God.
I spoke to you at your first love.
Be Still, know I am God.
I spoke to you at you first song.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the grass of the meadows.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the trees of the forests.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the valleys and the hills.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the Holy Mountains.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the rain and the snow.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the waves of the sea.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the dew of the morning.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the peace of the evening.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the splendor of the sun.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the brilliant stars.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the storm and the clouds.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the thunder and lighting.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you through the mysterious rainbow.
Be Still, know I am God.
I will speak to you through the Wisdom of the Ancients.
Be Still, know I am God.
I will speak to you at the end of time.
Be Still, know I am God.
I will speak to you throughout Eternity.
Be Still, know I am God.
I speak to you.
Be Still, know I am God.”

Psalms 46:10 - Be still, and know that I AM God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Ten Things God Won’t Ask

1... God won't ask what kind of car you drove. He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
2... God won't ask the square footage of your house, He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
3... God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
4... God won't ask what your highest salary was. He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.
5... God won't ask what your job title was. He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of our ability.
6... God won't ask how many friends you had. He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
7... God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
8... God won't ask about the color of your skin, He'll ask about the content of your character.
9... God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation. He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.
10... God won't have to ask how many people you talk about the information in this newsletter with, He already knows.

The 20th Century was the bloodiest century in recorded history. Over 80+ Million people were lost to genocide and ethic cleansing (due to Religious and Political differences) than to natural disasters and the AIDS epidemic combined for the same period of time. We don’t seem to be off to a good start for the 21st Century with the fighting in our own streets, neighborhoods and schools. Now is this any way for God’s Children to act????

“How may we talk with the Angels,
and stay within their Holy Circle, that the Law may burn in our hearts with a constant flame?”

And Jesus spoke to them:
“To lift your eyes to heaven when all men’s eyes are on the ground, is not easy. To worship at the feet of the Angels when all men worship only fame and riches, is not easy. But the most difficult of all is to think the thoughts of the Angels, to speak the words of the Angels, and to do as Angels do.”

"The Communions are a bridge between Man and the Angels. And like a bridge, can be built only with Patience. Yea, even as the bridge over the river is fashioned stone by stone, as they are found by the water’s edge."

"And the Communions are fourteen in number, as the Angels of the Heavenly Father number Seven, and the Angels of the Earthly Mother number Seven."

"The First Communion is with the Angel of Sun, She who cometh each morning as a bride from her chamber, to shed her golden light on the world. O thou immortal, shining, swift-steeded Angel of the Sun! There is no warmth without thee, no fire without thee, no life without thee. The green leaves of the trees do worship thee, and through thee is the tiny wheat kernel become a river of golden grass, moving with the wind. Through thee is opened the flower in the center of my body. Therefore will I never hide myself from thee. Angel of the Sun, Holy messenger of the Earthly Mother, enter the holy temple with me and give me the Fire of Life!”

(we will continue the Communions one per newsletter)(from the Gospel of the Essense)

The story of “Creation” that we have accepted, the Beginning to Adam & Eve’s expulsion from the garden, is a combination of Mediterranean & Middle Eastern history calculated by Anglican Bishop James Ussher in 1701.

Staying on the Path

Some days "Staying on the Path" seems very hard to do. I don't mean "straying" like doing something consciously that we know in our hearts is wrong. I'm talking about just plan old "side tracked".

As busy as life has gotten some times I have to remind myself to breath. So if breathing becomes something that one has to be reminded to do than "don't get sidetracked" is definitely on the top of the list.

Like most, I work a 40+ hour a week job. Having 8 hours a day given away so that I may cover the expenses of my earthly wants, is no excuse to "get sidetracked".

Distractions are everywhere. Errands to be run on the way home from work, aggravations of driving in traffic, dogs or children pouncing as soon as you come through the door, house needs to be cleaned/picked up, supper to be cooked, supper to be eaten, homework, counter-parts with the gift of gab. And those are just part of life distractions.

There are other things going on in our lives today, things that Jesus nor others in Biblical time had to deal with. TV, computers, telephones, internet. Mass communication had been a technical miracle when it comes to the gathering of information in scientific research whether it be medical or quantum physics. Yet it may have become a major distraction for the ones of us not in those fields of employment.

Hebrews 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Distractions take up our time. I don't know about you, but I feel I have so little time in between the time I get home from work and the time I have to go to bed, get 8 hours of sleep to get up and do it all over again.

There are days, and even weeks that get so busy that I have taken zero time for God. My head gets so full of "crap" from life distractions that it becomes difficult to take a "breath". That big Breath, taking in a bigger amount of the Spirit of God that emanates ever cell of our make up. To take that two seconds to reconfirm, to consciously acknowledge, with the one BIG BREATH, that I AM, You Are, a Creation of God.

Barnabas 2:13 Wherefore brethren, we ought the more diligently to inquire after those things that belong to our salvation, that the adversary may not have any entrance into us, and deprive us of our Spiritual Life.

Taking the time to Breath is the first step. If we keep putting one foot in front of the other we will find the pathway opens with each step and and every Breath and more time is found to "inquire within”.

We had done a comparative editorial on
“Blessed are …” a few volumes back between the King James Version of the Bible and the Gospel of Mary Magdalene. We hope you found it uplifting with a translation that felt more encouraging to “Walk Forth”. As research into Antiquity continues, another version was found in the Gospel of the Essenes.

"Blessed is the Child of Light who is strong in body, for he shall have oneness with the earth. Thou shalt celebrate a daily feast with all the gifts of the Angel of the Earth: The golden wheat and corn, the purple grapes of autumn, the ripe fruits of the trees, the amber honey of the bees. Thou shalt seek the fresh air of the forest and of the fields, and there in the midst of them shalt thou find the Angel of Air to embrace all thy body. Then shalt thou breathe long and deeply, that the Angel of Air may be brought within thee. Enter into the cool and flowing river and suffer the Angel of Water to embrace all thy body. Cast thyself wholly into his enfolding arms, and as often as thou movest the air with thy breath, move with thy body the water also. Thou shalt seek the Angel of Sun, and enter into that embrace which doth purify with holy Frames. And all these things are of the Holy Law of the Earthy Mother, she who did give thee birth. He who hath found peace with the body hath built a holy temple wherein may dwell forever the spirit of God."
