Behold, I will send my messengers and they shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek shall suddenly come to Her Temple, even the Messengers of the Covenant who ye shall delight in: Behold, they shall come, saith the Lord of Hosts. Malachi 3:1
Crucifixion, Resurrection,
Ascension
a Day to Day Occurrence
What? How can these – Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension be a daily happening? I don’t get thrown in front of a maddening crowd that wants to stone me and nail me on a cross. I certainly haven’t died so how can I daily be resurrected? And what the heaven is Ascension, especially on a daily basis?
Simply put by a very old “Ziggy” cartoon as he looks into his morning mirror where a note is taped, “Things to do Today – Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start again. Any correlation or association yet?
Okay, how about one of those days where your car breaks down and you can’t get the “right” piece to fix it. Now you can’t make it to a very important job interview that was guaranteed. Your unemployment check didn’t come in and you only have one drop of milk in the jug in the refrigerator. The baby is screaming and there aren’t any diapers. The furnace is blowing smoke and it’s 20 degrees outside and the dog just peed in your shoes. If you’ve had days like these I bet you felt like you were being “Crucified”. Being crucified can also feel like “hitting bottom”.
After having a very bad day or hitting bottom there is no where else to go but “UP”. “Picking yourself up and brushing yourself off” is like the “Resurrection”. Resurrection – rebirth, restoration, renewal, revitalization. Each day we wake up to find we have another day to restore some kind of order that was caused by the “day of crucifixion”.
Ascension is the moving upward or growing upward. Each “bad” day or experience is a way the Universe has to help us “grow” and mature as human beings.
Jesus said “Behold for Human flesh can be transmuted into higher form and then that higher form is Master of things manifest and can, at will take any form.”
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Remember that old saying?? Trials and tribulations fall into the category of feelings of crucifixion. When you realize what you went through didn’t kill you, you move in to the part called resurrection. Becoming a stronger person due to the crucifixion is ascension.
In the first Matrix movie the Oracle told Neo that he wasn’t
“the One”. Though the message was more like, “not as the
person he was at that moment”, he had to die and become “a new”.
Had to change his “point of view”, his whole conception/perception
of the process, once he did he “ascended”, he became “Master
of things manifest”.

Perfect Timing or Coincidence?
It is written in “the book”, as well as others, that there was a day at the end of every year where they picked one man to be the scapegoat for the multitudes. So in Spring, (which was when they calculated the year end was), they exiled one man so that the rest were released from all their sins.
Jesus was delivered to the Jews for execution on that exact day of the year. Perfect timing, coincidence or Divinely placed?
Crucifixion, Resurrection, Ascension / Not Today / As Within So Without
I got up this morning; there was stress in the air. Will I let it in? Will I let it become mine? Not Today.
The dogs knocked me over getting to the door. Will I yell at them? Will I let it make me mad? Not today.
On the road people are pulling out cutting me off way too close. Will I succumb to road rage? Not Today.
When my boss yells at me and calls me stupid, will I break down, let myself feel inferior to him? Not Today.
When I go to the mail box and find only bills, will I fall into worry and despair? Not Today.
For Today I have a date with Christ. Today I will be Okay.

t is estimated that there are one trillion cells composing the body of an adult. Each of these cells is associated with a specific function and plays a definite role. Because of the specific “Consciousness” in which the cells are endowed they have a particular task to perform. A liver cell is a liver cell; a heart cell is a heart cell. A liver cell can not be a heart cell and a heart cell can not be a liver cell.
When a Cell starts doing something that is not in keeping with its specific function, like going a different direction and landing in some other organ, it goes against the Global Consciousness of the organ in which it comprises. This creates a state of cellular discord which can then mutate into something of great disturbance.
Okay, so you’re wondering why I’m giving a lesson in Science. Well, while I was reading this information I started to see a correlation – As Above so Below = As Within so Without.
Like the trillion cells that make up the body, our miniature Universe, there are probably that many souls that come and go making up the Human Race. We are like individual cells with their Nucleus centers in which "Consciousness” lies.
At the center of “Who we are” is the Consciousness that emanates from the one we call “God”. Each and every one of us is a Unique Vibration from the Source of All, not one being the same as another. I can’t be you and you can’t be me.
With the Consciousness that is individually ours, we like cells, are also given a specific function and role to play. Yet most humans don’t seem to know what their function in this world is. The problem is that it is so simple it gives the impression that it is very complicated. That is to “be the best (insert your name here) you can be. Live up to your potential.”
Now living up to your potential can be the complicated part for in the society in which we live we’re not really sure that we have a potential. Unlike cells who know what is expected of them, we don’t, besides going to work, having to pay taxes and growing old. We spend half our mortal life trying to figure out who we are, where we are and what we are. Or we don’t spend anytime thinking about it at all. Thank God/Goddess cells don’t think for themselves other wise our bodies would be IN or BE a big mess.
That Consciousness that permeates us which emanates from the Source of all is a quiet one. And it takes a lot of quiet to hear it. Cells don’t have to sit still and be quiet, they don’t have all the commotion we do, they get the information directly from the Source and go and do their thing.
We seem to be more like the cells that have decided to go a direction other that the one specified. We don’t seem to “hear” the direction in which the Consciousness from our God tells us to go. It’s a challenge to not to go along with how everyone thinks we should live, but to find the “Good” within and decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong. “We must ‘test everything and retain the good”
Global Consciousness
How do we know when we are “going to wrong way”? Look around you,
there is definitely “Global Discord”. Instead of little disturbances
that come in our lives that we can handle with a little patience and tolerance
(like a cold or flu), we as a whole have created GREAT disturbances, war with
other countries, war within our cities, intolerance within our neighborhoods
and even war within our own bodies and minds (terminal sicknesses and cancer).
We seem to have taken a major u-turn from our Global prime directive; love
your neighbor as yourself. Once again thank God/Goddess that cells don’t
think like us for if they acted with an individual free will the way we do
can you imagine what our insides would be like (internal war)?
Maybe we need to be more like our Cells. They get along with
each other. They get along with their neighboring organs. They work together
to make a better “Whole”.

Azrael (Angel of Death)
Azrael is most commonly known as the angel of death, his name means “whom God helps”. God made Azrael the angel responsible for separating the human soul from the body at the moment of death.
Azrael was described to possess four thousand wings and seventy thousand feet. More importantly he was said to have a supply of eyes and tongues exactly the same number of people inhabiting the world. Each time Azrael blinks one of his eyes, it signifies that another person has died.
Aside from his blinking eyes, Azrael also keeps track of the dying by scribbling ceaselessly into a mighty book. He writes into this book the births of the living and just as often erases other names of those who have died.
Azrael does not know when each person is to die. He learns it when a leaf, bearing the name of the soon-to-be deceased, falls off one of the branches of the tree below the throne of God. He reads the name and knows that he is to separate the soul forty days later.
Not surprisingly, some mortals resist departing the world. To entice them, Azrael places beneath their noses an apple plucked from the tree of life.
A story about Azrael (Angels A-Z)
A young man was walking one day in Jerusalem when he looked up and, to his abject horror, was starring into the pale, frightening eyes of Azrael, the angel of death. Screaming and running for his life, (because he knew that no one encounters the angel who is not marked for death), he begged to be received by the mighty and wise King Solomon to
implore his advice. The King agreed to hear his remarkable tale and, after pondering the man’s problem, counseled him to flee from Jerusalem, as the angel
was said to be required to go to an appointed place and there
find the soul who was to die. By departing Jerusalem, the man might be able
to avoid death altogether, by having been blessed with the good fortune of
seeing Azrael just before the expected time. The man rode desperately out
of the gates of Jerusalem and went straight to Damascus. Much relieved upon
entering the city, he went suddenly white with fear, for there in his path
was Azrael. Now unable to escape, the man cried to the angel that he had avoided
death in Jerusalem. “You see,” Azrael said cheerfully, “I
was supposed to meet you here in Damascus, so I was quite surprised to find
you in Jerusalem.” With that, the angel reached out and snatched the
soul from the astonished mortal.

Two people I knew fondly transitioned already this year. I found I responded very differently when receiving the news of each of them.
Dr. Mary, I had met back in 1994 at the Science of Mind Church in Melbourne, FL. I had a habit of riding my bicycle around on those nice warm days. After a while I started getting drawn to the Church. Wondering into an almost empty sanctuary I spied a short older lady with sparkling eyes and a big smile. Her welcome was warm and embracing.
When I got news of Dr. Mary’s passing my heart instantly warmed and “Bless her heart” was the only thing that would came out of my mouth.
Les, I had met through a mutual friend that asked me to go introduce myself to them since I had moved into the Seattle area. On February 14th it was my privilege to have performed the marriage ceremony for Les and Sheila Cole.
A couple weeks later I got a call that Les had transitioned across in his sleep. The brain stem cancer had taken his last ounce of energy so that he could be released.
My reaction to Les’ passing was much different than my reaction to Dr. Mary’s passing. Unlike my reaction of having my heart warm, this time my heart constricted. Tears welded up, I had to leave my desk and go outside for air.
On my way home I kept wondering why the difference in my reactions to the two deaths. Only one other time had I cried at a friend’s or family members passing.
Dr. Mary had lived a long and devoted life. She was at an age where her physical body would naturally be breaking down to return to it’s beginning stage, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, to once more join the elements of which it was comprised of.
We expect older people, ones over 80, to get senility, stokes and heart attacks. We know that they are getting closer to their reward for living on this Earth. They are on their way to “Going Home”. Les wasn’t old, he was my age, he didn’t live a long life. Was that the difference?
A voice, unheard by any other, said “You are Spiritually Jealous”.
Its times like these when I feel like an idiot, cause usually what comes out of me next is “huh?? What does that mean?” What could Spiritual Jealousy be I kept asking? I didn’t think I had heard of it before.
So I sat quietly, opened my inner hearing as wide as possible and settled down to listened to the deep silence in the depth within.
“Your Spirit is jealous that your friend got to go home before you.” Was the answer I got.
Now that was a bit hard to swallow and intriguing at the same time, I had always considered jealousy to be a human emotion. I understood Mortal Sadness, the physical presence of both Dr. Mary and Les had made an impact on every life they encountered. They left behind loved ones, spouses, children and friends whom would miss them terribly. We grieve our loss over the ones we love, human – mortal sadness, this I understood. But Spiritual Jealousy?
So I sat quietly, opening my inner hearing as wide as possible. What could Spiritual Jealousy be? I don’t think I had heard of it before. So I listened to the deep silence in the depth within.
We know we are all inter connected, to each and every human being, animal, plant, all the way to the earthwork we stand on, and not just on a bio-chemical level.
We also know we have an inner connection with Christ and the Great Father on a Spiritual level. That’s a connection can not be given away, taken away, be believed away, denied away, and so forth. (These details were being pointed out to me like a refresher course.)
We know and teach that when it is our time to transition, pass away, die, we return to which we had come. We go back to the place we were before we came to earth to be the people we are now, we return to the Source, The Great Father, God.
We have an inner knowing and outwardly teach that “home with God” is a good place, a magnificent place, one with many mansions, and everything everybody would want for there would be not wants and needs. Makes me wonder sometimes why we chose to be on Earth, being human instead of just staying home with God.
As I listened, I almost by-passed the last statement as being my own injected thought, “staying home with God”. “Home & God”, two of the most comforting, safe, secure, compassionate, gracious, warm fuzziest, happiest, most LOVING places I know.
Ah, there’s the tug. We can call on God, we can ask for
advise and guidance, we can chant, pray, light candles and incense. We can
wonder at God’s work and glow in the warm fuzzy Love that flows to us
through our inner connection. Yet, even with that connection being utilized
I can see where my Spirit would be a bit jealous. Although God is just a thought
away, it’s like a telephone call, it’s not the same as being there.
My Spirit would know best about such things now wouldn’t it?

It may not seem like it right now as Winter rains are just kicking in, in Washington and it’s still snowing in Maine due the Ground hog seeing it’s shadow.
Doesn’t matter to us what the ground hog sees, at a certain time of year our blood starts to warm as does the sap in the trees. Inside we know it’s the turning of Spring and we are ready to rejoice the renewal of our world.
Besides Groundhog day, February 2nd or when the Sun is at 15 degrees Aquarius is also known to many as “Imbolc” and “Candlemas”. A glorious festival celebrating New Growth after the end of Winter, symbolizing Rebirth after Death.
Spring fever gets us to do things that we only do this time of year. Drink green beer and eat green eggs and ham as we sometimes do on St. Patrick’s Day March 17th.
Ostara, a Germanic word meaning “The month of beginnings or the months of openings”, a Spiritual filled festival ushering in the Spring Equinox, falling on March 20, 21 or the 22nd depending when the sun reaches 1 degree Aries.
Ostara is a festival of the Rebirthing of the Earth as we witness new growth emerging around us. Eggs are also colored for the Ostara Celebration. Instead of them being a part of a childrens’s game, they were given as an offering and blessing for Fertility and are a symbol of New Life. This new Life is evident as we watch the new buds develop on the trees, daffodils pop their heads out of what had been their snowy beds. Birds return from their winter homes and rebuild their nests as they court each other to start creating the next generation.
Easter is held on the first Sunday after the full moon after the Spring Equinox. Sounds confusing, this year it felt a little early as it fell on March 27th. Easter is the celebration of Resurrection of Jesus the Christ from the dead, Rebirthing of the Soul.
My favorite Spring Festival is Beltane, also called May Day, falling on May 1st or when the sun is at 15 degrees Taurus.
Beltane marks the end of Winter’s journey and the beginning of Summer as we move into the growing season. It is a celebration of the blending of two powerful energies in our lives, the power of the Sun (male) and of the Earth (female). It is a celebration to honor “LIFE”. So on the Spiritual level it is the unifying of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine to bring forth the third entity – Consciousness (in Christianity this consciousness would be considered “Christ”). On the physical level it is the union of the Earth and the Sun to bring a fruitful growing season in all aspects of our lives.
Beltane fires, (Christian tradition as well as Pagan), were lit for purification of the people, livestock and the land. The animals were paraded between the fires to remove any curse, sickness and impurities and as a blessing for fertility. Men would jump over smaller fires for the same reason.
All these Festivals, no matter their name are all Celebrations
of REBIRTH and LIFE!

I am so happy Spring is here. Time to start gathering the most wonderful healing herbs to replenish the body after a long winter. Dandelion, Curl Dock, Burdock and Chickweed are up and waiting to be added to my daily diet of fresh greens as well as stocking the medicinal cupboards.
For anybody that doesn’t like having these weeds in their yard, contact your local Herbalist, she’ll be happy to take them off your hands.
Genesis
1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed,
and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself,
upon the earth: and it was so.
1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind,
and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and
God saw that it was good.
1:29. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing
seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which
is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
1:30. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to
every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given
every green herb for meat: and it was so.
3:18. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
9:3. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
Psalms 104:14. He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth.
